Firearms proficiency is a perishable skill. Defensive Shooting Labs offers focused training across pistol, rifle, shotgun, and multi-platform disciplines for shooters who want to maintain and advance their capabilities. Whether you’re building fundamentals or pushing precision at distance, we have a course and a range for it.

Rifle Fundamentals

Build or rebuild your rifle skills from the ground up. Covers shooting positions, sight alignment and optics use, breath control, trigger discipline, and basic marksmanship out to intermediate distance. Suitable for bolt action and semi-automatic platforms. Bring your own rifle or contact us about loaners.

Shotgun Fundamentals

Patterning, stance, follow-through, and target transition. This course covers defensive and sporting shotgun use including pump and semi-automatic platforms. Whether you’re interested in home defense, bird hunting, or clay sports, the fundamentals are the same.

Long Range Precision Shooting

For shooters ready to reach out. This course covers ballistic fundamentals, wind reading, range estimation, optic adjustment, and position shooting at our 500 and 800 yard ranges. Students should have a solid rifle foundation before enrolling. Bring a scoped rifle and ammunition appropriate for distance work.

3-Gun (Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun)

Pistol, rifle, and shotgun in one course of fire. 3-Gun training builds proficiency across all three platforms with emphasis on transitions, stage planning, and weapon manipulation under time. Whether you’re preparing for competition or building cross-platform fluency, our range layout supports full 3-Gun stages. Prior experience with all three platforms required.

Pistol Fundamentals & Advanced Pistol

For shooters who want to build handgun proficiency without the permit process. Covers grip, stance, sight alignment, trigger control, reloading, and malfunction clearing. This is range-focused skill building — no legal curriculum, no paperwork, just marksmanship. Suitable for all experience levels from first-time shooters to those looking to tighten their groups.
